In terms of outright power getting a GSXR up to 95% of stock S1000RR power is actually fairly cheap. Getting it to the full 100% of the S1000RR isn't so cheap but is achievable in the budget of an S1000RR. But as you'll likely well know there is a lot more to the S1000RR than just it's rampant engine.

For the street the stock sprocket combo IMO is very good. The gearing mentioned above allows the bike to pull much harder sooner and definately reaches the top of each gear a lot faster. I did a roll on at 70 miles an hour in 6th gear. The result was 180miles an hour indicated at about a half a mile + or - a few feet.
