“Garda Village Camper Park” is the camper facility at The Garda Village Sirmione holiday centre on Lake Garda. It is located close to the sports fields. At just 3.5 km from the Sirmione peninsula, this site is also ideal for visiting nearby points of interest, such as the famous Sirmione spas or theme parks such as Gardaland and Canevaworld .
Like most towns on Lake Garda, Sirmione has a well-maintained path along the lake. Just north of the Scaliger Castle, walk on the paved Lungolago Sirmione. Along the way, stop for a swim, have an aperitivo , relax on the lawn, or just enjoy the views of Lago di Garda.
The first stop on our road trip in Italy was Lake Maggiore in Lombardy, one of the three main lakes in the Italian Lake District and the second largest after Lake Garda. Lake Como is the third main lake in the area. I visited Lake Como and Garda many years ago and would definitely recommend a visit there if you have time on your motorhome trip

From Menaggio, our route continued North along the edge of Lake Como. Stopping for a couple of nights at Camping La Riva. This very neat lakeside campsite in a quiet area of Lake Como was actually quite lovely. It’s not often we stop on a campsite, but there was no Sosta parking available and we needed to empty the waste and fill the fresh.

Another beautiful stop along the coast, just 15 minutes north of Padenghe sul Garda, Rocca di Manerba is a small archaeological park sitting on a cliff face looking out over the lake. You can drive up to a parking lot just a short walk from the site and follow an easy trail to reach the spectacular panoramic view.

Within walking distance – ten minutes or so, is Peschiera del Garda town centre, with buses and trains to a variety of towns and cities, also boats to lake side towns. Lidl, Simply and Pennymarket supermarkets are all close by. The latest feature to arrives at the Peschiera del Garda Camper Stop is a pair of fixed BBQ’s for guests to use.
